Dr Muhammad Farid Zainuddin is a medical doctor who survived depression and is now a Mental Health Awareness Advocate and Speaker who obtained his MBBS (Honours) from Monash University Malaysia. Having been diagnosed with MDD while serving as a House Officer at a government hospital, he decided to leave clinical service to take care of his mental wellbeing. He is now an advocate and speaker for Mental Health awareness, sharing his journey on surviving MDD. He has been symptoms free for two years and is pursuing his Masters in Family Counselling at USIM. His hope is to engage in early intervention to help families overcome their problems.
