DR Selina Chew and Dr Vivek Subramaniam, two doctors-turned-healthcare entrepreneurs, are on a mission to transform the global healthcare industry through community.
With the aim of helping doctors impact healthcare differently, their start-up Disruptive Doctors offers a platform for doctors to engage with other doctors, share ideas, upskill themselves, and find career opportunities.
“Think of it as a LinkedIn for doctors – a safe space for them to connect, collaborate and communicate,” Chew, the company’s chief executive officer, tells StarBiz 7.
The “disruptive” in Disruptive Doctors signifies the goal of challenging established systems and practices within the healthcare sector that are outdated or inefficient.
“What we are trying to do is disrupt mindsets and show that there is much more doctors can do in the realm of healthcare,” adds Vivek, who is the business’ executive director.
The co-founders formed the platform at the end of 2020 as a result of their own frustrations as doctors in the healthcare sector.
