A lot has happened since I last joined, the workshop in Jan.. Gladly to say, I achieved quite the stuff I wrote during that time.. I scored a few scholarships for postgraduate courses.. I’ve been working as a medical officer for 7 years and I realised it’s been a mundane cycle. I don’t see any progress in my career. I wanted to explore my options as a doctor, to improve my lifestyle, finances and also help others who are experiencing the same thing. We have come to a phase where the medical profession is different compared to 20 - 30 years ago. Now, with the contract doctor issue, many people are looking for options. So, this platform (Disruptive Doctors) is one that can provide those things. What I really liked about this session was how we analysed what truly matters to us. When we develop self-awareness, we get to see a different aspect ourselves, not just as doctors or medical professionals.
During the workshop, I find the personality test really helpful and was surprised by the results. It helped me narrow down my career choices. I'd recommend this workshop for doctors who are not planning to specialise in the conventional medical route and who are not sure what else to pursue. This workshop enables you to identify your purpose, skills and talents. From here, I can use this reference and seek opportunities outside.
