You will perform the following responsibilities in consultation with our Medical Director.
• To provide medical advice to the clients, members or affiliates of the Company; and to assist, support and provide case directions to the Operations team of the Company or its affiliates when dealing with cases that require medical opinion and recommendations.
• To guide, plan, organize and monitor the clinical aspects of patient transfer while working alongside the Operations team who manages the evacuation and repatriation logistics around the globe.
• To perform medical evaluation on patients during a hospitalization or medical emergency in order to provide medical opinion and recommendation for medical evacuation and/or repatriations.
• To monitor cases and provide periodical reviews and recommendations. When necessary, to be the medical escort of the medical evacuation/repatriation cases.
• To coordinate and obtain necessary medical clearance for medical transport cases on commercial airlines and to obtain medical clearance for any other forms of transporation when necessary.
• To provide medical advice over the phone for Company’s clients and provide referral to medical facility when necessary.
• To provide medical opinion on the diagnostic tests, procedure, treatment, medication as advised and prescribed by the patient’s attending physician.
• To liaise and discuss with the patient’s referral physician as and when it is required to do so.
• To support the Company’s networking department when required for hospitals, medical facilities, air ambulance etc. audits.
• To assist, conduct, provide participation and support during the organisation of healthtalks for the clients of the Company.
• To support the medical and operations needs of the Company’s related companies in theregion as and when required.
• To conduct in-house training on medical related issues to the personnel of the Company as and when such a request is required, which includes supervising, providing training and guidance on the coordination of case in the event of a medical evacuation, medical repatriation, hospitalisation or clinical visitation of the patient.
• To attend scheduled discussions and meetings with the clients and/or the personnel of the Company.
• To participate, as reasonably requested by the Company, in the establishment and implementation of quality assurance, utilization review protocols, procedures and policies as necessary and appropriate to facilitate, preserve and enhance the consistency and quality of services provided to the clients of the Company.
• To be on call 24 hours to support cases and the operations team’s need for case advice.
• All other reasonable duties as may be requested by the Company from time to time.
